Web design & development
Explore Astro, static websites, reusable components and design systems. Build websites you understand and feel confident developing further.
Digital Builders Community
Better websites. Useful apps. Ideas of your own. Explore modern web tools, AI and the business of building things with a community that’s curious about what comes next.
Learn together, share your progress and enjoy making something real.
An early community for web designers, developers and independent digital builders.
The way we design, develop and bring ideas to life is changing quickly. A website, a small app, a tool that saves you hours, a business you’ve wanted to try — more of those ideas now feel within reach.
There’s a lot to explore. It helps to have people around you who are trying things too.
Digital Builders Community brings us together to learn, ask questions, share discoveries and help each other move forward. Bring your experience, your curiosity and whatever you’re working on.
Our projects connect design, development, visibility and business. We’ll start with practical web builds and expand as the community grows.
Explore Astro, static websites, reusable components and design systems. Build websites you understand and feel confident developing further.
Explore how AI can help you develop tools, solve problems and turn an idea into a working prototype. Share the process, the decisions and what you learn along the way.
Explore keyword research, useful content and focused websites. Build something with a purpose, then learn how people find it and what happens when they do.
Become your own client. Give an idea some attention, make a first version and learn from putting it into the world.
We’re shaping the community around a simple weekly rhythm, with room for questions, experiments and conversations in between.
Monday
One substantial tutorial, with a practical idea or technique you can use in your own work.
Mid-week
A related challenge to help you apply what you’ve learned. Share a screenshot, a link or the question you’re working through.
Friday
A weekly invitation to show your progress, ask for feedback and discover what other members are making. Work in progress is welcome.
This is our planned launch rhythm. The community is taking shape, and the first tutorials and resources are being prepared.
Say hello, tell us what you build and share something you’d like to try next.
Ask questions, compare approaches, share discoveries and talk through the decisions in your projects.
Find the weekly teaching and supporting resources as they’re released.
Put an idea into practice and share how you approached it.
Post your websites, apps, experiments and unfinished ideas. Give feedback and learn from each other’s process.
We’re starting small, with practical projects and conversations. These are the directions we want to explore together as the community develops.
First focus
Build an Astro homepage with a shared layout, header, hero and services section. Explore how pages, components and styles fit together, then make it your own.
In development
Short lessons explaining Astro, static websites, components, GitHub, npm and publishing. A practical route through concepts that can feel unfamiliar when you’ve worked mainly with WordPress and page builders.
Planned
Choose a focused idea, research who it could serve and build a small website around it. Explore content, SEO and measurement together, and share what happens after launch.
Planned
Pick a problem from your own work and explore a small tool that could solve it. Share prototypes, test ideas and learn how to improve what you’ve made.
Planned
Explore CSS tokens, reusable components and workflows that make future builds easier. Resources under consideration include starter files, an inserts pack and practical CSS and SEO reference guides.
The roadmap will develop around member questions and projects. Courses are being developed, and every future course published inside the community is included for Founding Members.
Founding Membership
Join at our founding rate and help shape a community for learning, exploring and enjoying what we can build together.

I’m a web designer, developer and creator of FEWD Studio, GenCSS and the Boosh tools. I build websites, explore new workflows and turn problems from my own work into tools other people can use.
I’m excited by what independent builders can do now. I wanted a place to share that excitement, teach what I’ve learned and explore the next ideas with other people doing the same.
That’s the idea behind Digital Builders Community.
